My collegue at work gave me this :)
To grief is aliken to braving waves in sea.
Grief, when allowed to progress naturally, tends to come in waves. After the first initial shock of the loss abates,
Waves of sorrow begin to wash over you rather unpredictably.
At first the waves are huge and close together and you are afraid that you will drown.
Eventually, the waves get smaller and more manageable,
And you grow less afraid of them,
Although a big one can still take you by surprise.
When the grief is work through,
You are able to get to the point where you can just stand there
And let the waves sweep over you,
And you do not try to run or pretend you are not soaked through. Standing there feeling the waves, you start to realize that this is as bad as it is going to get and you begin to understand that you are going to survive.
That is when you start to pass through to the other side of the mourning; accepting and making peace with your loss.
To some, you might find not relevant to you at all, to some it is. My prayer is that when we face challenges ahead, we will draw strength from God that we will get thru it because He will guide us and He said in His word nothing is impossible with Him. That He will not allow things to difficult that we can’t handle. Jiayou girls. As you all start getting stress at schools, with all the commitments piling up, prioritise ya. Hugs and love you. I pray that u may experience the reality of Him. PUSH!!
